Brooke White is American Idol’s resident “good girl.” She’s a happily married Mormon, who’s never even watched an R-rated movie. Funnily enough though, this “boring” babe is shaping up as one of this season’s most interesting performers.

For the second week in a row Brooke has delivered the standout performance, outclassing the other ladies in the comp.

This time around she stripped back Pat Benatar’s 80s rock anthem Love is a Battlefield. This acoustic treatment gave the song a new vulnerability, and allowed Brooke’s sweet voice to shine.

I think it’s safe to say this angelic songbird won’t be leaving the competition any time soon.
