Here’s a news story to warm all but the coldest of hearts. In the United States, these adorable white tiger twins were separated from their aggressive mother. Enter Anjana the chimpanzee, who’s stepped in as a kind of surrogate.

The unlikely family has bonded instantly, eating together, sleeping together, and playing together. Anjana even gives the cubs their bottle. She’s such a good mother, it’s a wonder that the zoo keepers have anything to do.

This a gorgeous story now, but I can’t help wondering what happens when those tigers get a little older. Let’s hope that they are vegetarians!
