On February 17th, 2009, all television broadcasts in the U.S. will switch from analogue to digital, and if you’re not prepared for it, you’ll be left with nothing to watch.

This public service announcement tells the facts as well as demonstrating what’s required for you to make the switch. Nan tries it, and fails spectacularly.

Here in the UK, different parts of the country are switching to digital at different times, but in America, it seems to be happening everywhere on the same day.

This video makes it look complicated but it really isn’t. Just buy a digital set-top box, connect it to the TV and aerial, and away you go. But it won’t bring Jack Benny back.
