There cannot be many gamers who haven’t played Guitar Hero or Rock Band by now. The games are big business, selling in huge quantities, with the most recent, The Beatles: Rock Band, being a huge hit.
And now the look and feel of the game is moving away from the rock genre and heading for dance and hip-hop. The game is called DJ Hero and it works in a similar way to the rhythm-action games based on guitar, drums, and mics. Just with a turntable peripheral instead.
This video shows the first commercial for the game, out now on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2. It features Eminem and Jay-Z battling it out for rapping supremacy, with the player, obviously, in control.
It’s a genius advert and a genius game. However, it isn’t cheap, with the new turntable peripheral costing an arm and a leg. If you can afford it, then enjoy it. But I think it’s out of my budget range.
