We all know that those cars they race in drag races, from Pro-Mod to Funny Cars, are damn fast! They’ve got big engines, big tires and even bigger attitudes.

Before technology became so sophisticated, what happens at 1000 frames per second could not be seen with the eye. But this video breaks it down for us at some of the slowest replays ever seen.

These frames of film going this slow allow us a glimpse at the individual cylinders as they fire, and the bending and flexing of the hard rubber tires. I knew those tires take a beating, but who knew they actually flexed this much.
