The first time I stumbled upon an Edward Current video, I like so many others, thought the man was a crazy hypocritical Catholic. On the contrary, Edward is perhaps the most popular atheist on YouTube known for producing weekly religious satire videos.

An atheist with a sense of humor? You have to see it to believe it…

Back in 2007, Edward made a little video titled ‘The Atheist Delusion’ in which he provided “indisputable Biblical proof that atheists are deluded and stupid”. Of course, after several hundred thousand views and a variety of heated comments he felt obligated to explain that the video was indeed satire.

Since then, the success and formula of Edward Current hasn’t changed. Usually once a week, he uploads a new video mocking religion in an animation, infomercial, or any other skit similar to those seen on Saturday Night Live. With over 50 videos and counting, it seems as if the man never grows tired of the subject.

‘The Atheist Delusion’

Here’s Edward’s very first video that eventually went on to surpass 800,000 views and cause him to become a YouTube star.
