I did hear of a female kicker on the University of Colorado Buffalo’s college football team (Katie Hnida?); but female players in any semi-to-professional league are hard to come by.

There is a huge stigma out there (just ask Hnida), but some women are taking the less-traveled path and are certainly staking a mark in football, and in many other sports for that matter. WNBA anyone?! But they still have a long way to go to gain the much-deserved respect from their colleagues.

This little girl in her peewee football team of boys sure knew how to tackle with some force, and still stand up and walk away; can’t say that much for the little boy that was at the receiving end of her tackle.

And who says girls can’t play sports?! Watch out boys, watch out.
