Four Brothers is a 2005 movie loosely based on the 1965 western The Sons of Katie Elder. It stars Tyrese Gibson, Andre Benjamin, Mark Wahlberg, and Garrett Hedlund as four adoptive brothers seeking revenge for their adoptive mother’s murder.

Four Brothers is essentially a movie about revenge but also looks at what it means to be family, to be close to people, and have a real bond. It helps that the lead actors have a good on-screen rapport.

The film features a great cast, who give commanding performance, some kick-ass action (some would say gratuitous violence), and a convoluted plot with some serious undertones.

All in all, it’s a film definitely worth seeking out and watching.
