Considered to be one of the most intelligent of birds for various reasons, it’s no wonder that this grey parrot is called Einstein.

While other birds may also be able to mimic sounds and words, studies on African grey parrots have shown that, to some extent, they can associate human words with their meanings.

That’s one of the reasons they are so popular as pets, even though there are restrictions on trade of wild caught species. Like that is going to stop the truly determined, but we can hope, right?
