Dance is essentially a form of social expression and interaction. It’s found in most cultures, varying only in technique. However, it’s always surprising when animals show behavior that is characteristically human. It also leads to some rather amusing videos.

This wonderful montage is set to Labelle’s Lady Marmalade, the perfect choice of soundtrack, considering that most of these critters look like they’re performing some kind of elaborate mating ritual or dance anyway.

I particularly enjoyed the segments of the ostrich and his tiny human dance partner, and the one of the camel. What amazed me, however, was the fact that most of them really seemed to be moving to the beat of the music. I know several people who don’t have that kind of rhythm!
