Just in time for the vice-presidential debate being held tonight (Oct 11) comes a ‘Bad Lip Reading’ take on the first of the 2012 U.S. presidential debates between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

Bad Lip Reading is a very simple but insanely clever idea. This guy reinterprets what is actually being said by reading the speakers’ lips and writing a script based on it.

When the real conversation is replaced by that interpreted by Bad Lip Reading, Obama comes across as a bumbling idiot, Romney as a robotic clown, and Jim Lehrer as a sage offering words of wisdom in the form of song.

This could be about the greatest thing ever to hit the InterWebs, so I hope there is one of these made for every debate from here on in.
