This is one of my favorite ads on Australian TV at the moment. It’s for a bank, the National Australia Bank to be exact, but I won’t hold that against it. For the most part, it’s easy to forget this has anything to do with finance at all.

What it is about is confidence. Our hero’s confidence grows with each and every thing he achieves, giving him the self-belief to take on bigger challenges.

He starts small, by finding a missing sock, but soon he’s taking the wheel of a bus when the driver passes away and conquering a real mountain!

This is so inspiring, it almost makes me feel guilty for sitting at home this weekend. Maybe I should get my hiking boots on!
