At the beginning of this video, you might imagine that you’re about to see a nice little a cappella rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. That’s somewhat true, but it quickly takes a unique turn. The end result is quite hilarious.

The singers in this video are a group from Indiana University called Straight No Chaser. One has to wonder if that describes what they were doing when they came up with this.

They threw in bits from several different Christmas (and non-Christmas) songs, and even changed a part of it up to the tune of a familiar song by rock group Toto. If you don’t remember them, just watch to the end and you’ll figure it out.

There’s nothing like a little laughter to get one in the Christmas spirit. If you’re not feeling jolly after watching this, there’s just no hope.
