Terry Fator’s win at the latest edition of America’s Got Talent has created a surge of interest in ventriloquist acts. Ronn Lucas is a veteran of this field. He and his dragon friend, Scorch, have even had their own show in the late 80’s.

Scorch is nothing short of a rascal. If you’re thinking, “Bah, green and scaly. He’s no different from Kermit” you couldn’t be more mistaken. Admittedly, he’s as cute, but hardly as clean and wholesome. Lucas seems half embarrassed of this fiery li’l guy.

This skit is from “The Late Show,” an Emmy award winning talkshow hosted by David Letterman. Scorch takes no mind of this honor and proceeds to make fun of the host, New York and the audience. I guess being a dummy gives you the license to say what you want.

The clip is fun, and Lucas really brings Scorch to life. And besides, Scorch’s idea of a “lap dance” is bound to make anyone laugh.
