Google Celebrates S.P.L. Sorensen Video | The pH Scale Google Doodle

The latest Google Doodle celebrates the life of S.P.L. Sorensen, the Danish chemist who developed the pH Scale used around the world today.

The pH Scale is a way of determining how acidic or alkaline substances are. The more acidic something is the lower its pH. And the more alkaline it is the higher its pH.

This video shows the Google Doodle in its animated form, with Google Search users asked to sort the various foodstuffs by their acidity or alkalinity.

I must admit that prior to seeing this Google Doodle I didn’t know who was responsible for developing the pH Scale. But now I do.
