Google Chrome For Mac & Linux (Video) | Web Browser Beta Hits New Platforms

Google Chrome, the search giant’s attempt at a Web browser has been available for Windows-based computers for over a year now and had many updates in that time.

However, until today the browser wasn’t officially available for Mac or Linux. Finally, as an early Christmas present, Google has released the Chrome beta for Mac and Linux.

This video shows an extensive hands-on testing of the beta version of Chrome, showing how it handles various Web pages. It appears to cope admirably with well-known news and tech sites, and the likes of YouTube.

I’ve tried Chrome out on Windows and found it to be a great addition to the browser line-up alongside Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, and the rest. However, I soon reverted back to Firefox.

Why not try it for yourself and see which you prefer? After all, they’re all free.
