Ah Japan, wonderful Japan. Land of the Rising Sun, Sake, Sushi, Pokémon, martial arts and now, Human Tetris.

One can’t deny that the Japanese are without par when it comes to inventive television. Who else could come up with a Tetris game show, in which the “blocks” are the participants? The whole thing is too bizarre to pass up and yet, too amusing to be bizarre.

I couldn’t tear my eyes away from this video, even after one of the contestants whacked his jewels. (I did wince, however.) The need to find out how some of the positions are done, if at all, is too strong.

Someone should consider bringing this show to the West. It has the potential to be a cash-cow, provided the novelty doesn’t wear off.

I honestly don’t know which is more crazy, this human Tetris or the vertical football video that was posted last week
