I love a good sci-fi flick. Unfortunately, really good sci-fi flicks are a rare find. Most are either cheesy or too reliant on special effects.
The last really good one I saw was Interstellar, which had it all. Is Arrival this year’s Interstellar? Let’s see what the What the Flick?! guys think.
This video offers a roundtable review of Arrival starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. The problem is they have to talk around the plot to avoid spoilers.
I’m intrigued enough to want to see Arrival for myself. It’s clearly a more intelligent take on the science fiction genre, and one which delivers a twist at the end.
