Keith Olbermann really doesn’t like Tony Dungy, the former NFL coach who has said he wouldn’t have drafted the first openly gay player, Michael Sam.
This video sees Olbermann ripping Dungy a new one not only over the original comments, but also his statement clarifying those comments.
I admit I don’t support Olbermann on this one. Dungy made the point that the media attention surrounding Sam will be a distraction to the team. That’s all. And he’s correct.
Dungy didn’t say he wouldn’t pick Sam because of his sexual orientation, which is the undercurrent of the vitriol being aimed in his direction right now.
Much ado about nothing.
