Argentina played Nigeria in a crucial World Cup game on Tuesday. Argentina needed to win to go through to the second round, and Maradona was there to witness their efforts.
It was a close game, with Argentina forward Marcos Rojo finally scoring the winner in the 86th minute. But it was Maradona’s behavior in the stands which people noticed.
Maradona, who is famous for helping Argentina win the 1986 World Cup (albeit with the help of a handball) screamed, shouted, danced with fans, and made a rude gesture.
Some people claim Maradona was on something at the game, but that is pure speculation. Maybe he was just high on life and high on football.
