Young kids do not understand the value of money. They don’t know where it comes from, why some people earn more than others, or what things cost.
Which makes the idea of giving a 6-year-old child $1000 to spend on what he wants such a good one. Will he act responsibly? Or blow it all on candy?
In the end it’s somewhere in the middle. This kid lives out his Home Alone fantasies, and has lots of fun, but then decides to help other people.
I’m not convinced he decided everything for himself. After all, giving money away to the homeless ensured this video would go viral, but still.
