We’ve been embracing the literal music video trend here on Web TV Hub, checking out reinterpretations of classics from A-Ha, Bonnie Tyler, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

There are plenty more clips out there, but I think I’ve figured out why some are so fantastically funny while others fall flat. You need that perfect combination of over-the-top song with an equally flamboyant clip. That’s why this one for Meatloaf’s “Anything for Love” ticks all the boxes.

The Beauty and the Beast tale is reinterpreted with a necklace obsession and a bed made from gypsy sluts. Nevermind that Meatloaf’s bare face is only slightly less hideous than his beastly make-up covered one! Somehow I think this glamourpuss is more impressed by inner beauty.

This is some kind of love story, or it will be once he can get over that necklace!
