Beauty queens embody poise and sophistication; except for Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith. Japanese beauty Riyo Mori may have taken home the title, but Smith provided the real story at this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

She certainly looked the part as she stepped out in her glittering evening gown. Yet there was nothing glamorous about this stumble, which saw the Tennessee stunner land on her shapely derriere.

The 22-year-old took the slip in her stride and, like any good beauty queen, didn’t stop smiling.

If nothing else, this video helps us remember that these grinning goddesses with impossible curves are only human.
