The Hasbro toy series that once out-sold Barbie is back this summer to kick Transformers 2 and GI Joe in the ass (no pun intended).
Be warned, these aren’t the cute ‘My Little Pony’ characters that little girls dream of owning. They’ve been sent from space to destroy all of mankind.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize that this fake trailer has some parallels with summer action flicks. The shot of the girl on the bike, for example, is obviously a parody of Transformers 2. All of the guns and explosives mock the upcoming GI Joe movie- or just about any Michael Bay action flick.
I still can’t decide what aspect of this trailer is more hilarious; the fact that every special effect is so poorly done or the scene at 1:45 when the father interrogates his daughter with the question, “Whose side are you on!”
Even the logo at the very end is priceless. I just about died of laughter.
