It’s National Pie Day… Woohoo! Does this mean I get to eat pies all day without having to worry about my ever-expanding waistline? I’ll start with a meat and potato pie and follow it up with apple pie and custard please.

Whether you’re a fan of pies or not, you should always remember that Pie is different to Pi, the mathematical expression for the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter. Phew, that was a mouthful.

This video shows a homemade song which actually references both Pie and Pi. And the funniest thing are the comments these kids have got from the lovable rogues on YouTube. They refer to Pi as 3.14 and we all know it’s a few (thousand) numbers longer than that.

Have a pie to celebrate National Pie Day today but remember to watch your portion sizes. Pies have to be the most unhealthy thing ever – it’s just a shame they’re so delicious really.
