If you’re like me you’ve probably heard Somebody That I Used To Know more than enough times already. But I encourage you to listen to it just one more time, as this is the best cover of the Gotye song ever forged.

This video shows a cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know played using old computer equipment. Except for the xylophone, though even that is programmed rather than played manually.

I’ve seen lots of these kinds of videos before, but none has captured the song being covered quite as well as this one. The printer is a perfect match for Gotye’s voice, though he may not appreciate the comparison.

I hate to think how much time and effort went into making this video. I must admit I don’t have the patience or skill to ever do anything quite as geeky or impressive.
