Robbery Gone Wrong Video | Shopkeeper Has Six Black Belts!

Robbing convenience stores seems like a simple business, but as we’ve seen before, things don’t always go as planned. Here our would-be thief simply chose the wrong store.

This convenience store was manned by Edward Petrosi, a mild-mannered Iranian immigrant with black belts in six different martial arts. As you can imagine, Edward was the wrong guy to mess with.

Edward insisted that he didn’t want to hurt our young thug, but he was forced into a few swift kicks. To top it all off, Edward managed to snap a photo of the crook’s license plate as he drove away.

I think an encounter with a high kicking Edward would be enough to scare anyone straight!

This shopkeeper was very lucky and blessed. My husband had a very similar story out of Philadelphia, Pa. He too came from the Middle east/North Africa ( Morocco). He was an 8th degree blackbelt, three time world champion in Tae Kwon Do; he took the first gold medal in Tae Kwon Do in Egypt. He began studying under the Korean Masters at the age of fourteen and his genius in martial art took him around the world; he eventually settled in the US where i met him while a college student. He spoke fluent Korean in addition to other languages. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art. Fast forward, we divorced but we had 3 sons together, and after an absence of 10+ years he came to see his now adult sons. He opened a grocery store in a crime ridden area because he saw opportunity every where. Three months after opening, a gunman disguised in Islamic women’s garb, entered the store in an apparent robbery. When he came around the counter to put sodas in the frig, the gunman entered the store shot him in the back of the head , he tried to fight back but he was shot again and the robber fled. The police knew it was a man disguised in woman’s garb due to his height. When myself and his three sons among the many others from the Muslimcommunity came to the intensive care unit, his head was wrapped in bloody bandages and had swelled to the size of a watermelon. He had two swollen black eyes sealed shut. He was paralyzed from the neck down. On January 2, 2010 he was taken off life support and passed away at 4:00PM. He had remained active in Martial Arts all his life, over 36 years of training and teaching. He was in excellent health; he did not smoke, drink or do any drugs and was strong and physically fit. I called him the man who could fly, when he did his fly kicks, it was beauty in motion. I was in disbelief that someone with that type of training could die a violent death. The police said it was simple; you can’t beat a bullet. A gun will render you helpless each time, and the best thing to do is to give the robber the money. You can get back money but not your life. This shopkeeper was very lucky but that was a stupid move; if the robber had a gun he would have died. Most robbers don’t want to commit a murder but if frightened that will be the end result As in my ex-husbands case it will still be called a robbery gone wrong except the store keeper will not have a favorable outcome.
