Bungee is one thing, sledging is another. They’re both relatively safe to do, assuming there is a professional on hand. But combine the two and put a bunch of giggling youngsters in charge and, well, it’s scary shit.

Snow can be very, very fun, especially when you’re young and the novelty factor hasn’t yet worn off. And you can get away with sledging without being stared at like you’re some kind of infantile freak. Or a pedo.

However, I’ve never heard of, let alone seen, anyone sledging off the top of a tower block roof. But that’s exactly what’s on display in this video.

It looks as though there’s about six feet of bungee cord attached to a length of rope, and that’s deemed enough for these kids to throw themselves off the slope while sitting in a sledge.

Absolutely insane. Or am I just getting old?
