The rugby league player in this video is known for being “most suspended player of the modern era” and will do anything to win. John Hopoate, better known as ‘Hoppa,’ was suspended for doing this unthinkable act during a 2001 match.

It should be noted that Hoppa did this exact “offense” three times during the match. When the incident was brought up in court, he claimed that he was only trying to give the other players “a wedgie.” The three victims, however, weren’t satisfied with this statement saying, “I think I know the difference between a wedgie and someone sticking their finger up my bum.”

As of 2006, Hoppa has officially retired from the sport of rugby league and is now a boxer. Hopefully, he’ll be keeping his gloves on at all times.
