Silvio DiSalvatore left a big impression when he recently appeared on American Inventor.

This fast talking New Yorker looks more like a long lost member of an 80s hair band than an inventor. Yet his impassioned pitch was right at home on this reality TV series. Sadly, Silvio’s invention was not.

While most contestants design high-tech gadgets, Silvio created a super hero called Cougar Man. The pair makes a dramatic entrance, but unfortunately Silvio won’t be our next American Inventor.

It’s easy to see why the judges had to reject Silvio. While he dreamed Cougar Man would protect children, I think they’d be a bit frightened by this imposing black creature in tight pants!
