I’ve seen some downright weird commercials in my time, but this one for a guy running for school board is among the strangest. It’s not hard to fathom that he might be a Star Wars fan, but was it really necessary to incorporate that into his campaign?

You can tell that no expense was spared on the special effects here. From the state-of-the-art props to the amazingly realistic lasers, it’s right up there with the real Star Wars. OK, I’m done being sarcastic now.

Maybe there are lots of Star Wars fanatics in Rockingham county, and Mr. Knight was counting on their votes to give him a victory. Or maybe he’s just off his rocker.
