I never realized how similar movies like Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, and Ferris Bueller were until I saw this clip. Sure, a lot of movies in the 1980’s had stereotypes, but looking back, the ones aimed at a younger audience were even more stereotypical.

Of course, this trend only continued in the 90’s with movies like Clueless, Bring It On, 10 Things I Hate About You, and American Pie. It seems as if the cycle of senseless clichés is just now starting to dwindle.
