I’ve loved The Ting Tings since I first heard them in 2008. But they’ve only had limited success outside of their native U.K. However, I suspect international fame and fortune is just around the corner.
The Ting Tings are already making a name for themselves in the States. Last night, they performed two songs on Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Sigourney Weaver.
This is actually the original music video for That’s Not My Name, one of the two songs they performed. The video of their SNL performance is here on YouTube but I suspect it’ll be removed by an overzealous NBC before long.
From what I’ve seen, The Ting Tings did a good job on SNL. So, if you liked what you saw I’d recommend seeking out their debut album, We Started Nothing, for more of the same.
