All through this season of Canadian Idol I’ve said what a close race it is. But with the elimination of Earl Stevenson last week and Mookie Morris the week before, I’ve changed my mind. There’s only one singer left who deserves to win Canadian Idol. That is Theo Tams.

Why Theo? If you don’t already know, just watch this incredible cover version of Bryan Adams’ “Heaven.” Now I may be a little biased because I love this song so much, but this performance just made me fall a little deeper for Theo.

He takes this competition beyond purely a singing talent show. He’s a musician. He’s an entertainer. He’s a true performer. He doesn’t just deliver a song, he makes you feel it. I’ll quit gushing now, but if he doesn’t win there is simply no justice.
