Watch Enews! Reese Witherspoon and Husband Arrested Video

And now for something cool yet completely unrelated to the dreary news of recent days: This past Sunday, actress Reese Witherspoon and her husband, James Toth, were drunk driving in the wee hours of the morning only to weave over a double line and get pulled over by Atlanta police. It’s a little more funny than most people are making it out to be but let’s sympathize with these fellow Americans, shall we?

While an officer was having Toth take a field sobriety test, police say, Witherspoon got out of the vehicle. She was told to get back in the car, but emerged from it again a short time later to say conceitedly to the officer, “Do you know my name?” And like any sane person who doesn’t grovel at the feet of a movie star, he responded that he did not. To which she replied, “You’re about to find out who I am.”

The whole fiasco ended with the Witherspoons being arrested and the cop’s report ended with:”Mrs. Witherspoon also stated, ‘You are going to be on national news.’ I advised Mrs. Witherspoon that was fine.”

In her statement of apology, Witherspoon has only this to say,”I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.” Hmm…funny she didn’t appear in court today…guilty as charged.
