The weird thing is that I know how to say Colonel correctly, but I didn’t ding on him saying it wrong.

So, how many things have you been pronouncing wrong all this time? I started keeping track, but there were words/names I have never once uttered in my entire life, so… I have been using the wrong forte forever, though.
