Tom DeLay, the former House Majority Leader, was sentenced to three years in prison ‘conspiracy in a money-laundering scheme during the 2002 election cycle’.

The Republican Congressman was also sentenced to five years in prison for money laundering charges but the judge´╗┐ converted the sentence to ten years probation.

This sentence comes after a jury convicted him in November.

“I can’t be remorseful for something I don’t think I did,” DeLay said.

Pfffft is all I can say to that. I highly doubt that a man like that could be so utterly obtuse as to not understand he was a part of something like money laundering.
