Of course this isn’t actually him admitting his guilt. It seems that’s beyond him. Instead, it’s a small but clever bit of editing done on one of the Blade films.
Three years in prison may seem a long time for tax evasion, but Snipes avoided paying tax for 12 years, which is thought to have saved him $15 million.
That is a huge sum of money, and so while ordinary American citizens did the right thing and paid their way, Snipes was living a life of luxury thinking he was above the law.
No-one likes paying tax, but it’s a necessary evil if we’re to have any kind of society. I just wish the Government would stop using my money fighting wars… then I would begrudge it less.
