LonleyGirl15 is back! Only this time she’s not rambling in her bedroom about her teenage problems. Now, 21 year-old actress Jessica Rose is set to star in another upcoming web series called “Blood Cell.”

Rather than going the comedic route, “Blood Cell” aims for a dramatic audience. As 60Frames CEO Brent states states, “Thrillers can work, dramatic series can work. This is something that we think really can prove that there’s an audience out there.”

Jessica

The plot is as follows: Julia (played by Jessica) is caught in a life-threatening predicament. Her friend has been kid-napped and it’s up to her to rescue her. Only, she can’t call the police and she must never hang her cell phone up.

60Frames hopes that the series will turn profit like LonleyGirl15. But as of recent, most web series are not turning any substantial profit due to flooding in the market. Which is why the production budget for each episode is set at “cautious” $5,000.

Blood Cell Trailer

This is the teaser for Blood Cell where the plot is revealed. Personally, I wasn’t too impressed. Audiences are already sick of bad horror movies, what’s so different about a scary web series? Shows like iChannel may be more adapted for the an online audience, but 60Frames has money to blow.

Expect to see “Blood Cell” banners all over the internet in the coming months.
