The Saw franchise is back, with a new sequel named Jigsaw. It has been seven years since the last Saw film came out, so, will Jigsaw excite a new generation of torture porn fans?
This is, according to Jeremy Jahns, more of the same. If you like the Saw films then you’ll enjoy Jigsaw too. And if you have never liked the Saw films, this isn’t going to change your mind.
I liked the first Saw film. It was new, exciting, and innovative. But as with all franchises, it’s a case of dwindling returns. And Jigsaw probably doesn’t add anything fresh to the tired genre.
