Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a statewide stay-at-home order, which means Floridians are effectively locked down through April.
The Florida stay-at-home order comes into force on April 3, and lasts for 30 days. During that time, people will only be able to leave their homes for emergencies and essential supplies.
Plenty of other states have already issued stay-at-home orders, but for some reason Governor DeSantis has resisted calls to do the same in Florida.
There are fears that, just like the US as a whole, this is too little, too late, and delaying the lockdown will lead to more deaths. Unfortunately, only time will tell.
