Halloween is almost upon us, and to celebrate, Epic has added new monsters, challenges, and cosmetic upgrades to Fortnite.
For the duration of Halloween, Fortnite is being renamed Fortnitemares, a portmanteau of Fortnite and nitemares (which is itself a misspelling of nightmares).
As fun as this looks, there are signs that Fortnite‘s popularity may be starting to wane. And with Red Dead Redemption 2 being released tomorrow, more players are likely to abandon Fortnite.
Still, younger players seem to be lapping up Fortnite, and, assuming they aren’t scared by the new monsters and zombies, they’re likely to enjoy playing Fortnitemares.
