This summer saw the film of the penultimate book in the Harry Potter series hit theaters. And the DVD of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince is out in time for Christmas.
One of the extras on the DVD is a sneak peek at the next film – Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 – which you can see in the video embedded above (assuming it hasn’t already been deleted).
This is Part 1 because they’re splitting the last book into two movies, and rightly so because it is too large a tome to be squeezed into just one film. Two films based on The Deathly Hallows should allow the series to be brought to an end in a satisfying and unhurried manner.
The video includes an introduction from the producer and director of the upcoming movie, and then a few short snippets of some of the film itself. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is due to be released November 2010.
