I’ve always loved Pop Rocks. They make me think about when I was a kid, and candy ruled everything.
Now that I’m an adult (or pretend to be), I love Pop Rocks for a different reason: this commercial. I love how the teacher doesn’t seem to even flinch when the student begins to unbuckle his pants.
There’s no doubt at all that this commercial was banned for a good reason. Can you imagine a seven-year-old watching this commercial and thinking, “I love Pop Rocks!” Suddenly, the little kid’s dreams are twisted into a sexual nightmare that they don’t understand.
It’s a good thing they took this off the TV. However, I’m thrilled that it’s on the web. And I wouldn’t recommend using Pop Rocks “orally.”
