Referring to this as “a continuity problem” really isn’t doing it justice. This is a phenomenal mess-up, a gaffe of epic proportions. And I can’t believe it made it into the final film.
Wildcats is a movie from 1986 which sees Goldie Hawn play a football coach, and Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson make early appearances as players.
This clip from the film shows the moment number 89 goes on a bit of a run, cutting his way through the opposition’s defense. That black guy is a really good player. But wait, he’s not black any more, he’s a very white Woody Harrelson!
This is shameful. I mean, I understand the need to have a stand-in actually playing instead of the actor, but couldn’t they find one of the same skin color? Geez.
If there is a better continuity blooper around than this one from Wildcats I have yet to see it.
