As with every big city around the world, London has changed massively over the last century. And this video shows just how much London has changed over time.
We get to see films from the late 19th century shown next to films from the 21st century. All showing the same areas, but with 100 years between them.
We see Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Whitehall, the West End the South Bank, and lots more besides. And it’s fascinating seeing what has changed and what has stayed the same.
I like London in 2019, but I can imagine it was an even more intoxicating place to be in the Victorian era, when the UK has a huge empire.
