Veteran NASCAR driver Jason Leffler has died after being involved in a horrific Sprint Car crash at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey.

Leffler died at the tender age of just 37. He was a two-time winner on the NASCAR Nationwide Series who has, in recent years, been taking part in dirt car race events.
He leaves behind a five-year-old son. Tributes have poured in from the world of motorsports, and Leffler will be fondly remembered as a versatile and vibrant racer.
