Singer Justin Bieber has canceled the remaining dates in his “Purpose” world tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”

There were 14 dates remaining in the tour, including shows in California, New Jersey, Texas and California. Dates have also been pulled in the Philippines, Japan and Singapore.

A rep for Bieber told E!News: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over the last 18 months.”

While there’s been a flood of speculation from fans about the “real reason” for his tour cancellation, the 23-year-old singer is likely overdo for a break. Bieber has been touring for six out of the last eight years.

Tickets for the remaining shows will be refunded.

Scooter Braun took to Instagram to address the frustration of fans and to apologize for the tour cancellation.

“To Justin who gave it his all night after night thank you,” Braun wrote. “And to those that won’t be able to see it…on behalf of myself, Justin, and the team, we are sorry. That was never our intent. But a man’s soul and well being I truly care about came first and We [sic] must all respect and honor that. Justin will be back and I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again.”

TMZ caught up with Bieber on Monday in Santa Monica, where the sweatpants-clad singer said “everything’s fine.”

“I’ve been on tour for two years,” he said. When asked if he was looking forward to some downtime, he said, “Yeah, just resting, getting some relaxation. We’re gonna ride some bikes.”

Bieber apologized to fans and for anyone who felt disappointed or betrayed by the cancellation.

News of the tour cancellation came after China reportedly banned the singer. It also comes after an emotional performance at the One Love Manchester benefit concert last month. Bieber broke down during his performance, which paid tribute to the victims of the May 22 suicide bombing in Manchester.
