Norwegian Recycling: Swedish DJ Combines Pop Songs | The Best Mashups You’ve Ever Heard

Norwegian Recycling

If you’re a fan of mashups (the blending of multiple songs into one mix), you’ll love these mashups that combine Top 40 pop songs with some lesser known artists. Sometimes the blends are even better than the original songs themselves.

So, you’ve already heard of combining two songs into one? How about six?!

Peter Bull, otherwise known as Norwegian Recycling, is a Swedish DJ and producer whose music is spreading through the internet like wildfire. His MySpace averages 200 plays daily and his YouTube channel has over 20,000 subscribers. He may not yet be a household name, but an imminent featured spot on YouTube’s homepage is all that’s holding him back.

While there are still some people that fail to recognize DJ’s as artists, a quick 2-minute listen to one of Peter’s mashups is more than enough to baffle the skeptics. Of course, Peter doesn’t own the copyrights to the songs he mashes up, but that hasn’t stopped him from creating his first mashup album “So Far”.

How Six Songs Collide

This is Peter’s first, and perhaps, most famous mashup. This particular mashup combines six songs including:

  • Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
  • Howie Day – Collide
  • Five For Fighting – Superman
  • Angela Ammons – Always Getting Over You
  • Boyzone – All That I Need
  • Doors Down – Here Without You
