Rich Girl Poor Girl: Reality Web Series From The WB | Better Than MTV’s Exiled?

While MTV’s show Exiled sends spoiled girls to the third world, The WB’s latest original web series involves two girls switching worlds. On the surface, Rich Girl Poor Girl, seems a bit like a rip-off of other reality shows- the logo even knocks off My Super Sweet 16!

On the contrary, the fact that these girls defy their expected “rich girl” and “poor girl” stereotypes are what make it different (and possibly even better) than your average MTV reality show.

The plot revolves around two California teenage girls who come from completely different backgrounds. Tarra (the “rich girl”) resides in the Pacific Palisades and Angie (the “poor girl”) lives in East L.A. When they finally switch places for a week, what happens next isn’t what you’d expect.

For starters, Tarra doesn’t appear to be nearly as spoiled as those girls on My Super Sweet 16 and is more open to new things. In fact, Angie is the one with the little white dogs. The fact that she’s white and talks with a hood rat accent is surprising to say the least. One thing’s for sure, these are some unique girls.

Like Sorority Forever, The WB may just have another online hit on their hands.

Webisode 1: The Switch

This is the first webisode of the series that shows the girls leaving their homes. Right off the bat, we can see that the move puts each girl in a socially awkward situation.
